Originally from the mountains of North Carolina, Madison now calls East Tennessee home, where she lives with her husband and their two cats, Kiwi and Tipsy. Creativity has always been a big part of Madison's life. While photography has been a longtime passion, she wanted another creative outlet that would allow her to make things by hand. That idea eventually turned into Made by Maddie. The business officially began in March 2025, but its story actually started a few months earlier with a Friendsgiving project.

✨ Making Spirits Bright

In November 2024, Madison wanted some special decorations for her annual Friendsgiving. After seeing hand painted banners online, she decided to try making one herself. She quickly fell in love with the process and ended up creating several more banners that same month simply because she enjoyed it so much. At the beginning, each banner could take 10 or more hours to complete, and she was still learning which materials worked best. Even when the process wasn't perfect, Madison loved painting and seeing her finished creations come to life. After taking a short break, she returned with better materials, a projector to help streamline the process, and more confidence in her skills. A western-themed banner she created for her cousin's housewarming became one of those moments where she could truly see how far she had come. Encouragement from friends and family gave Madison the confidence to share her work publicly, and Made by Maddie was born. What began as a Friendsgiving project has since grown into a creative business offering personalized products for celebrations, small businesses, and everyday gifting.
