About The Owner
Carinne Johnston, the heart and soul behind Earth Flair Blooms, is a proud Texas native with deep roots in the Austin area. Growing up in the small town of Blanco, she developed a natural curiosity and love for the outdoors at an early age. That passion only grew as she studied wildlife biology at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where she learned to appreciate the delicate balance of nature and the intricate beauty of the world around her. Her connection to wildlife isn’t just academic. Carinne has always had a hands-on relationship with animals, from rescuing orphaned baby skunks to observing and caring for the smallest details of her local ecosystem. This innate care for living things naturally extends to her work, where every flower she preserves carries a bit of that same love and attention. When she’s not meticulously creating keepsakes for her customers, Carinne can usually be found exploring the Texas Hill Country, hiking trails lined with wildflowers, or tending to her own garden at home. Her golden retriever, Rocky, is often by her side, happily joining in on outdoor adventures alongside her boyfriend, Beau. Beyond her work, Carinne enjoys arts and crafts, finding inspiration in the colors, textures, and patterns of the natural world. This creative spirit, combined with her deep respect for the environment, is evident in every piece she makes, whether it’s a wedding bouquet preserved in resin or a wildflower coaster designed to brighten someone’s day. For Carinne, Earth Flair Blooms is more than a business, it’s a way to celebrate nature, honor memories, and share the beauty she sees in the world with others.

About The Business
Earth Flair Blooms started as a creative outlet during COVID, when Carinne stayed on her mom’s ranch in the Texas Hill Country surrounded by wildflowers. She began pressing flowers between books, turning a simple hobby into a passion project. By April 2025, she officially launched her Etsy shop.
The business specializes in preserving wedding and memorial flowers, transforming them into keepsakes like frames, coasters, trays, jewelry, and bookmarks. Wedding bouquet preservation is her most popular service, allowing couples to cherish a physical memory of their special day. She also works with wildflowers and local florist bouquets, turning everyday blooms into unique art pieces. Carinne’s background as a wildlife biologist influences her work, she often sources flowers during plant surveys and she partners with Ecologi, planting a tree with every order. Her creations are now also featured in local shops like The Old Mill Store in Wimberley, Elevated Wellness in Lakeway, and Laudrey Rose in Dripping Springs. Despite the challenges of starting a small business, Carinne loves connecting with clients, working at her own pace, and watching her passion grow.

Why People Love Earth Flair Blooms
One of the most special parts of Earth Flair Blooms is the meaning behind each piece. Carinne isn’t just creating something pretty, she’s preserving moments that matter. From wedding bouquets to memorial flowers, every order holds a story, and she takes pride in bringing those memories to life in a lasting way. Her favorite part of running her business is being able to connect directly with her customers and watch their ideas turn into something tangible. That one-on-one experience, paired with her ability to work at her own pace, allows her to pour genuine care into every creation. Like many small business owners, the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, learning everything from scratch and growing through trial and error. But that dedication is exactly what makes her work so special. With each piece she creates, Carinne continues to grow a business that’s not only beautiful, but deeply meaningful to the people who receive it.
