About The Owner
Meet Dr. Dan Lang PT, DPT, CSCS, the owner of Roots Physical Therapy & Performance. Dan has completed extensive post doctorate study with organizations including Functional Movement Systems and the Institute of Physcial Art, the latter of which he is currently training with to become a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). Dan is also certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Dan Enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and camping. Dan grew up in Maryland, where he attended undergraduate at Towson University with a Major in Biology and emphasis in exercise science. Dan moved to San Diego in 2012 to study for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA, where he graduated in 2015. His doctorate curriculum at St. Augustine emphasized manual therapy techniques, biomechanics, and joint arthrokinematics, which are a focus of his practice
History Of The Business
Dan opened his small business about 3 months ago. Dan was a youth athlete through High School in basketball and baseball, and multiple injuries during his young career inspired him to pursue the study of sports rehabilitation. He wanted to provide a space for 1 on 1 care with patients, tailoring treatment to their specific needs. Dan's favorite part of owning his small business is that he can provide care on his terms with a patient first treatment approach.

Clients can submit their super bills to insurance for out of network reimbursement. They evaluate movement of their clients entire body which better allows them to find what is truly at the Root of their pain!
